DuraBag® Sandbags – Pre-Filled Pallet, 5-Year UVI, Best Gravel Bag for Long-Term Erosion Control & Outdoor Ballast
DuraBag® is the proven, long-duration gravel bag for projects where durability and drainage matter. Made from heavy-duty polyethylene mesh with a 5-year UV life (10,000 UVI), DuraBag® resists sun-rot and environmental wear while allowing water to pass through the bag and around the fill—ideal for erosion control, slope stabilization, SWPPP/BMP compliance, liner and tarp anchoring, and any “set it and forget it” outdoor ballast use.
Performance claim: DuraBag® will outperform any other plastic sandbag—polypropylene or polyethylene—when you need multi-year outdoor life with controlled drainage.
Color options: Choose from nine vibrant, fade-free colors to match project zones, visibility needs, or branding.

Important: Because DuraBag® uses a mesh shell, sand requires an inner liner to prevent leakage. We supply the liner when you choose the appropriate fill option below.
Fill Material Options (We Fill for You)
- 1/4″ Chip Stone (Small “chip rock”): The smallest free-flowing aggregate we recommend. It shifts and beds like sand for stable berms, but—unlike sand—its stone makeup resists moisture retention that can lead to frozen “bricks” or sloppy, dripping bags.
- 1/2″ Washed Gravel: Best for erosion and underwater applications. Washed to reduce fines; EPA-compliant for SWPPP/BMP use. Expect minor sedimentation over time while in storage.
- C-33 Sand (with Inner Liner): For applications that require sand, we line each bag with a woven polypropylene inner bag before filling with C-33 to prevent leakage (added charge applies).

Choose Packaging (New):
- Standard Packaging: Bags are packed inside a PP bulk bag (FIBC) on a wooden pallet. Note: The PP bulk bag is not intended for long-term outdoor storage.
- Big Hoss Bulk Bag Add-On (Recommended for long-term storage): We pack your pallet inside our Big Hoss bulk bag, sewn from the same 5-year UV DuraBag® fabric. Select the same or different color as your filled bags. Ideal for staging inventory outdoors.
Shipping & Delivery
- Shipping: Free within the continental USA. Palletized freight.
- Commercial with Forklift/Dock: Delivered to dock or forklift-equipped address; pallets brought to truck tail or unstrapped for removal by customer.
- Commercial with Liftgate: For sites without unloading equipment. Driver lowers pallet(s) to ground; cannot move pallets on property. $186 per pallet applies.
- Non-Commercial / Residential Liftgate: Residential or remote deliveries require coordination. A delivery agreement must be signed prior to scheduling.
- Lead Time: Most orders ship within 2 business days; typical transit ~3 business days. Expedited freight is not available for pallets. Contact us for precise timelines (≤ 5 business days).

FAQ
- Do I need a liner? Only when using C-33 sand—we include a woven PP inner liner for those orders (added charge applies). No liner is needed for chip stone or washed gravel.
- Which fill should I choose? 1/2″ washed gravel is best for erosion/SWPPP; 1/4″ chip stone beds like sand for berms without the freeze/mud drawbacks.
- Will fines build up over time? Expect minor sedimentation in stored aggregate—this is normal and accounted for by using washed material and a mesh shell.
- Can I store the pallet outdoors? Use the Big Hoss packaging option for prolonged outdoor storage; standard PP bulk bags are not rated for multi-year sun exposure.
