Description
King Spools — Industrial Bag Closing Thread Engineered for Sandbag Production
When you're sewing shut thousands of sandbags per shift, not just any thread will do. Our King Spools of 5-ply bonded polyester thread are manufactured in a U.S.-based mill to Sandbag Store specifications, engineered specifically for the demands of sandbag closing machines and high-volume sandbag production environments.
Each spool contains 18–20 lb of heavy-duty bonded thread—enough to close up to 10,000 sandbags with consistent stitch integrity. The bonded, low-friction coating reduces heat at the needle, prevents fraying, minimizes breakage, and significantly extends needle life on Fischbein, Newlong, Union Special, and other industrial bag-closing heads.
Built from high-denier polyester filaments with a balanced two-stage twist, this sandbag closing thread delivers a 25 lb break strength, outstanding abrasion resistance, and a smooth, jam-free feed even under the dust, vibration, and repetitive impacts of a sandbagging operation. This is the same thread we rely on every day in our own production facility—proven through millions of sewn-shut sandbags.
Outdoor-rated and UV-stable, it holds up in storage yards, construction sites, flood response operations, and any application where sewn seams must stay intact under weight and weather.
Designed for professionals. Made in the USA. Purpose-built for sandbag closing.
